Definition
Atomic Learning is a web-based software training for software applications that students and teachers can use everyday. The tutorials are short videos that are easy to view and to understand. Brunswick Schools purchased a two-year license for full access to these tutorials. Teachers may view these as a training resource and as part of professional development. Students and parents will also have access to these tutorials to help them learn and use software that is available to them.
Reasons for Use
Atomic Learning's online training provides the answers to your “how do I do that?” software questions. There are more than 35,000 videos for more than 110 software applications that are updated regularly. These tutorials are web-based so they are available 24/7 from home and school.
Atomic Learning also provides Lesson Accelerators for all core subject areas to help teachers integrate technology into their lessons. Each Lesson Accelerator provides:
- Project activity guide
- Copy of the completed project
- All the resources needed to recreate the example project
- Step-by-step tutorial movies that walk students through the project
- Assessment rubric
