Windows Movie Maker is a basic video creating/editing software included in Microsoft Windows.  Windows Movie Maker makes movies amazingly fun. With Movie Maker you can create, edit, and share your movies right on your computer.  Build your movie with a few simple drag-and-drops, and then add music, video effects, transitions, titles and narration.   Save your finished movie as a windows media player file and then share your movie via the Web, e-mail, or CD.  Students can create a variety of curriculum-based projects using Movie Maker. 

 

Reasons for Use

Movie Maker is a fun way to organize and share photos.  Teachers can make class videos from the photos collected on the first day of school, field trips, etc., Then add narration and music to make these photo albums exciting and entertaining to share and view.   Students can create storyboards and videos for a variety of curriculum projects.  The software is very easy to use and students can be creating projects in very little time.
