Make show N tell cool again

- Bring your photos to life with Photo Story!

Description

Photostory 3 can be used to create digital videos by taking pictures or still images and turning them into a video.  Titles, transitions, and audio can also be added to tell a story with the photos. Create slideshows using your digital photos. With a single click, you can touch-up, crop, or rotate pictures. It's that easy! Add stunning special effects, soundtracks, and your own voice narration to your photo stories. Then, personalize them with titles and captions. Small file sizes make it easy to send your photo stories in an e-mail. Watch them on your TV, a computer, or a Windows Mobile–based portable device.

Reasons for Use

  • Touch up, crop, rotate pictures
  • Tell a story
  • Illustrate a concept
  • Have students use images and symbolism to illustrate understanding
  • Show visual images to portray reality, landscapes, current events, or culture

Tutorials and Resources

Where to find the program

This program is installed on all the new teacher laptops, and can be found on the desktop.

The program is also installed on the computers in all the new labs at the high school as well, so it IS accessible for your studnets to use to create projects.

It is also downloadable for free from  microsoft.com for free, as long as the system requirements apply.

My picks

This is a good example of how you could use one really great photo to capture the essence of a culture or      something you would like to illustrate to students.

These videos have great pictures, but I think we, and our students, can be MUCH more creative!! :)
