Description

 

Skype is a software application that allows users to make telephone calls, send instant messages, transfer files, and video conference over the internet. Calls to other Skype users are free of charge while calls to landlines and mobile phones can be made for a fee.

 

 

 

 

Reasons for Use

 

  • Communicate with people in the district or all over the world
  • Bring the outside world into the classroom
  • Listen to and interact with real world experts
  • Take a virtual field trip without leaving the school
  • Students can make video presentations in the classroom, to other classrooms, or to other countries
